Amber Heard announces she’s welcomed twins in heartwarming post

Amber Heard has taken to social media to announce the arrival of twins ‘into the Heard gang’.

Earlier today (May 11) – aptly Mother’s Day – the Aquaman star announced she’s welcomed twins.

The 39-year-old is already mom to Oonagh Paige – who she welcomed on April 8, 2021.

In a post to her Instagram she shared a photograph of the babies’ feet, alongside the caption: “Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget.

“This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years.

“Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang.”

The post continues: “My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full.

“When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three!!!

“Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life. I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully.

“To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you. Love always, A x.”

The post follows a statement issued by the star’s spokesperson.

The spokesperson told People: “Amber is delighted to welcome the twins and complete her family.

“Mama and babies are enjoying every minute. And Oonagh is happily running the show.”

The latest additions to Heard’s family follow after she explained she would be having children ‘on [her] own terms’.

During the announcement of her first child via surrogate in 2021, in a post to Instagram, the actor explained four years prior she ‘decided [she] wanted to have a child’.

She continued: “I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way. I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.

“A part of me wants to uphold that my private life is none of anyone’s business. I also get that the nature of my job compels me to take control of this.”

Selena Gomez announces engagement to Benny Blanco in heartwarming Instagram post

Selena Gomez has taken to social media to share several photographs announcing her engagement to Benny Blanco.

The Only Murders in the Building star and the producer first started dating in 2023 and have since revealed they’re getting married.

Relationship timeline

Gomez and Blanco collaborated on the song ‘I Can’t Get Enough’ which was released in February 2019, it’s music video shared the following month showing the pair together, as per Billboard.

Blanco also co-produced Gomez’s track ‘Single Soon’ which was released in August 2023, however, the pair hadn’t yet gone public with any sort of relationship.

In December of that year, Gomez confirmed she and Blanco had been dating, responding to a series of comments to fans on Instagram calling the producer her ‘absolute everything’ and admitting they’d actually been seeing each other for six months already.

The pair went Instagram official later that month, with Gomez sharing pictures with Blanco on her feed, and the romance has since seemingly blossomed from there.

“And I think it’s really nice to also lean on someone who understands the world that I live in. I’d have to say overall, it’s the safest that I feel and it’s been really lovely. I’ve only grown through it, so it’s awesome.”

Blanco also spoke publicly about the pair’s relationship, saying on The Howard Stern Show how he looks at Gomez and doesn’t ‘know a world where it could be better than this’.

And Gomez has since announced the pair are engaged.

Engagement announcement

People notice Johnny Depp didn’t look at Amber Heard once during entire trial and there’s a reason why

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s 2022 defamation trial capture the attention of the world

Johnny Depp’s attorney made sure that Amber Heard knew why he refused to look her in the eye during their trial.

The infamous defamation case between Depp and Heard captured the attention of the world in 2022, with hundreds of thousands of people tuning in everyday to watch it being live streamed.

Now, almost two years after Depp secured a win against his ex-wife, curious viewers can relive the whole trial through a Netflix documentary – titled Depp v. Heard.

Depp sued Heard for $50 million over a 2018 article she wrote in the Washington Post, titled: “I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.”

Despite Depp not being directly named in the piece, his lawyers claimed it falsely implied he abused Heard while they were together.

Throughout the trial, Heard also accused Depp of abuse during their relationship – but the Pirates of the Caribbean actor took an interesting approach while Heard was giving evidence.

During Heard’s cross examination by Depp’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez, she was asked why she thought he hadn’t looked at her at all.

In court, Vasquez said: “Mr. Depp hasn’t looked at you once this entire trial, has he?”

To which Heard responded: “Not that I’ve noticed, no.”

“You’ve looked at him many times, haven’t you?” Vasquez continued.

The Aquaman star replied: “Yes, I have.”

Despite the lack of eye contact appearing ‘concerning’ to some spectators – perhaps implying some sort of guilt – there was actually a deep-rooted reason why Depp refused to look at Heard during the trial.

Vasquez cleared this up by saying: “You know exactly why Mr. Depp won’t look back at you, don’t you?

“He promised you would never see his eyes again, isn’t that true?”

Heard played this off as if she had no idea, but a recording between the ex-couple appeared to reveal otherwise.

Vasquez played a clip from their last meeting in 2016 in which Depp could be heard saying: “We won’t have to see each other again.

“You will not see my eyes again.”

Heard stood her ground that Depp ‘couldn’t’ look at her rather than ‘wouldn’t’.

She said: “As far as I know, he cannot look at me.”

To which Vasquez responded: “He won’t look at you, right Ms. Heard?”

Though Heard claimed: “He can’t.”

After six weeks, the trial finally concluded when the jury sided with Depp and ordered Heard to pay him $15 million in damages.

Depp vs Heard is available to stream on Netflix now.

Amber Heard has no new movies on the way after changing her name and moving to Spain

Those hoping to see Amber Heard back on the big screen following her very public court case with ex Johnny Depp will be out of luck.

Amber Heard has since relocated to Spain with her daughter and has shown no signs of returning to the US.

The actor has even gone as far to change her name and has avoided the spotlight since the trial.

When the trial was concluded Heard, who speaks fluent Spanish, moved to Madrid with her daughter, with reports claiming she was quitting Hollywood following the backlash from the trial.

Heard had previously been seen in a small village in Mallorca living under a pseudonym, before local news outlets revealed her identity.

Since then Heard has moved to Madrid, and seemingly has no plans to return to Los Angeles any time soon.

It seems that this plan is supported by the Aquaman star’s IMDB page, which lists no upcoming projects for her.

Heard made the move to Spain after losing a defamation case against Depp in the US.

The case arose after Heard published an op-ed in The Washington Post in 2018 in which she claimed that she had been the victim of domestic abuse.

Although she did not explicitly name Depp in the piece, the actor sued Heard for defamation.

Heard responded by counter-suing Depp for $100 million, with the case going on to be covered around the globe.

In the end, a jury found in favour of both Depp’s original suit and Heard’s counter-suit.

All outstanding settlements from the case were believed to have been settled by the end of 2022, and Heard made the decision to relocate to Spain.

Speaking in 2022, a source reportedly close to Heard told PEOPLE: “She is focused on raising her daughter. She spends every day with her girl.

“They stroll around, visit parks and enjoy family time. Amber is a great mom.”

And with no upcoming projects listed on IMDB it seems apparent that Heard has no plans to return to acting in the near future at least.

The actor is said to have used the name Martha Jane Cannary, the real name of old-West American sharpshooter Calamity Jane.

Commenting on the name, El Diario de Mallorca wrote: “The choice of this identity, which appears at the entrance of her new Mallorcan home, draws much attention.

“Especially as Johnny Depp always maintained that his family trace their roots to ancient Native American tribes and that his great-great-grandmother was Cherokee.”

Johnny Depp’s lawyer addresses rumor that the two were dating during infamous Amber Heard trial

If you watched parts of the Depp vs Heard defamation trial, then you’ll probably recall the connection the famed actor had with his lawyer.

Many people assumed Johnny Depp and his former lawyer Camille Vasquez were an item during the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s legal face off against his ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022.

The legal dispute came about in 2018, when Heard wrote an op ed in The Washington Post, titled: “I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.”

Depp divorced the 38-year-old a year prior to that statement, which suggested she was a victim of domestic abuse.

Years passed and they finally met again in court in April 2022, with the trial lasting seven weeks and ultimately seeing Depp come out on top.

He won all three cases against his former lover – who countersued him successfully and was awarded $2 million in damages, while Depp received $15 million.

So that’s the history of the case, and how Vasquez – who initially ‘didn’t think that filing this lawsuit was a good idea’ – ended up defending her now 61-year-old former client.

But were they ever an item?

Speculation was feverish at the time, with some fans even putting clips of the pair’s physical displays of intimacy in the courtroom on TikTok with romantic music playing in the background, the Daily Mail reports.

Addressing the rumors that the pair were in a relationship, she told Extra that she first heard about it through her parents who she explained ‘knew definitively’ they weren’t.

She said: “I would never. Let me just go on the record here: never dated Johnny Depp. Never would date Johnny Depp. I think he’s a lovely person… he’s not my type.”

She went on to explain how she has only ever seen him on screen ‘maybe’ once in the 2000 rom-com Chocolat, but never in ‘Pirates‘ as she called it – referring to his role as Jack Sparrow.

But that despite not seeing him in the cinema as often as the average Joe, she conceded: “After maybe 30, 40 minutes of speaking with him, I remember having an out-of-body experience and looking at him and thinking, ‘He views the world so differently than I do.’

“He definitely uses a different part of his brain. He’s such an artist.”

So there you have it, while Vasquez and Depp shared an obvious connection, but they never dated.
